What is Do the Dow?
Do the Dow is an annual event held every November where all of the artists in the Dow Arts Building in St. Paul open their studio doors to the general public. You get a chance to see the artists in their workshops, see the art they produce, have an opportunity to ask questions about how they make their art, and more! Many will offer special sales – just in time to kick off your holiday shopping 🙂
I myself will be there where I have several pieces on display in the Dow Art Gallery on the first floor. I will also be bringing lots of matted & mounted prints and possibly some additional gallery wrapped canvases – some of which are not available for purchase online. There are more than 40 artists just in the first floor gallery alone! Photography, textiles, sculptures, paintings, metals, etc.
It’s a free event and fun for all ages – so bring all generations of your friends and family! There will also be live music and free food & beverages available.
When is Do the Dow?
Friday November 13 from 6 pm – 10 pm. I will probably only be there ’til 9 pm.
Saturday November 14 from noon – 6 pm.

It’s right on the green line just a block away from the Raymond Ave. station, or there is some free parking nearby (which fills quickly for this event).
Do the Dow Special Offer
For the Do the Dow event I will be offering a special sale during the event hours. When you purchase any four of my items, you get a fifth item of equal or lesser value FREE! This only applies to the stock I’ll have on hand at the gallery and does not include orders from the online galleries. I’ll have plenty of matted & mounted 5 x 7 and 8 x 10 prints, a few unmounted 11 x 14 prints, and several gallery wrapped canvases of varying sizes ready to hang. I will also have one wood print on maple that is ready to hang and a few framed 8 x 10 and 11 x 14 prints that are ready to hang. Most people prefer to purchase the matted & mounted prints and get their own frames. Custom framing is available right there since the gallery is housed right in Dow Art Gallery and Picture Framing, owned by Khanh Tran. Professional art framed by a professional framer makes for an exceptional gift to yourself or your loved ones!
